Ukraine has now mobilized all its armed forces for war and Washington has threatened to isolate Russia economically after President Vladimir Putin declared he has the right to invade his neighbour. President Putin has secured permission from his parliament to use military force to protect Russian citizens in Ukraine and told U.S. President Barack Obama he has the right to defend Russian interests and nationals. Article: http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2014/02/... The United States is pursuing a "neocon agenda", in Ukraine and Russia, in order to weaken and destabilize the two countries, a political commentator says. There is a "neocon effort to go after Russia because Russia did not support the war for Israel agenda against Israel's enemies," said James Morris, an editor for America-hijacked.com, an anti-Zionist blog. "So the neocons would like to weaken Russia and that's what we see happening in Ukraine," Morris told Press T V. "It is a very dangerous situation" because the crisis in Ukraine could cause another world war, he added. "The neocons, have been encouraging what's been happening in Ukraine." On Sunday, the Ukrainian parliament ousted President Viktor Yanukovych and named Oleksandr Turchynov as interim president. Ukraine has been rocked by anti-government protests since Yanukovych refrained from signing a trade agreement with the European Union on November 29, in favor of closer ties with Russia. Analysts say American neocons engineered the overthrow of the pro-Russian Yanukovych in a coup spearheaded by neo-Nazi militias. US National Security Advisor Susan Rice on Sunday warned Russia against sending military troops into Ukraine. Ukraine Crisis 'Russians occupy' Crimea airports - 28 February 2014
Ukraine's interior minister has accused Russian naval forces of occupying Sevastopol airport in the autonomous region of Crimea. Arsen Avakov called their presence an "armed invasion". But Russia's Black Sea Fleet has denied that Russian servicemen are taking part. The other main Crimean airport, Simferopol, has also been occupied by armed men. The men are thought to be pro-Russia militia. The Ukrainian parliament has called on the United Nations Security Council to discuss the crisis in Crimea. As Ukraine's currency slides, the country's central bank has put a 15,000 hryvnia (1,000 euro; £820) limit on daily bank cash withdrawals. Meanwhile interim President Olexander Turchynov has dismissed the Armed Forces chief, Yuriy Ilyin. He was reported to have been admitted to hospital with a heart attack on Thursday. Mr Ilyin was appointed earlier this month by Viktor Yanukovych, in one of his last acts before being ousted from the Ukraine presidency. Tensions rise Relations between Russia and Ukraine have been strained since Mr Yanukovych lost power. These tensions have been particularly evident in Crimea, Ukraine's only Russian-majority region. The BBC's Bridget Kendall in Moscow says the Crimea is becoming the lynchpin of a struggle between Ukraine's new leaders and those loyal to Russia. Mr Yanukovych is now in Russia and is preparing to hold a news conference on Friday in the city of Rostov-on-Don, near the Ukrainian border. He surfaced in Russia on Thursday, asserting that he is still Ukraine's lawful president. Armed men, said by Mr Avakov to be Russian soldiers, arrived in the Sevastopol military airport near Russia's Black Sea Fleet Base on Friday morning. The men were patrolling outside, backed up by armoured vehicles, but Ukrainian military and border guards remained inside, Mr Avakov said. "I consider what has happened to be an armed invasion and occupation in violation of all international agreements and norms," Mr Avakov said on his Facebook page. Armed men also arrived at Simferopol airport overnight, some carrying Russian flags. A man called Vladimir told Reuters he was a volunteer helping the group there, though he said he did not know where they came from. "I'm with the People's Militia of Crimea. We're simple people, volunteers," he said. "We're here at the airport to maintain order. We'll meet the planes with a nice smile - the airport is working as normal." After the violent clashes and the ousting of Mr Yanukovych in Kiev, the focus of the Ukraine crisis has now moved to Crimea, which traditionally leans towards Russia. On Thursday, a group of unidentified armed men entered Crimea's parliament building by force, and hoisted a Russian flag on the roof. The Crimean parliament later announced it would hold a referendum on expanding the region's autonomy on 25 May. Russian President Vladimir Putin has urged his government to maintain relations with Kiev and even join Western efforts to bail out its troubled economy. But he is also giving the Crimean government humanitarian aid. The US sought assurances from Russia earlier this week, after Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered snap military drills to test the combat readiness of troops near the border with Ukraine. US Secretary of State John Kerry has called on all sides to "step back and avoid any kind of provocations". Mr Kerry said he had spoken to his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, who vowed to respect Ukraine's "territorial integrity". SUBSCRIBE for Latest on UKRAINE REVOLUTION / RUSSIA / PUTIN / WW3 / NEW WORLD ORDER / USD COLLAPSE http://www.youtube.com/AgendaNWO Build up to WW3 - PUTIN is Ready To React To UKRAINE CRISIS. Could This Lead To WORLD WAR 3? Alex Jones and Max Keiser discuss the central bankers motives in creating more chaos, this time in the Ukraine. Unlike The Bank of England and The Federal Reserve, Russia has other resources and doesn't need to be part of their banking ponzi scheme. Max Keiser explains why not. President Vladimir Putin faces a decision over Ukraine that is likely to shape his political legacy as well as the future of Russia's western neighbor, trapped in an East-West battle that has echoes of the Cold War. His hopes of building a huge trading bloc, grouping as many former Soviet republics as possible to challenge the economic might of China and the United States, could be in tatters. But making a stand over Ukraine, or getting drawn into a new bidding war with the European Union to win sway over the cash-strapped country, would be risky. Moscow can ill-afford to improve the $15 billion financial bailout package it offered in December. But more forceful measures, such as taking over mainly Russian-speaking areas of eastern Ukraine, would risk triggering a more serious conflict. Putin is saying nothing for now in public, although he has spoken by phone to U.S. President Barack Obama and German Chancellor Angela Merkel. He was especially keen to stay silent before the end of the Winter Olympics in Sochi. protest "We all know Putin likes to meddle," said Alexei Tsitulski, a 25-year-old protester from the Crimea. The region used to be Russian territory and was given to Ukraine in 1953 by Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev, who was from Ukraine. The United States also said on Sunday that sending forces to Ukraine would be a "grave mistake". Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko Sunday made a point of stating that the Maidan revolution that has transformed Ukraine will not be a factor in Belarus. "There will be no Maidan in Belarus," Lukashenko said. He admitted that likewise tensions exist in his country and said it is the "sacred mission" of the Belarusian state to "preserve peace and stability in our land." Despite widespread criticism in Europe, Lukashenko has maintained Soviet-era polices, including state ownership of the economy. The Polish Foreign Minister, Radoslaw Sikorski, told a Ukrainian protest leader if EuroMaidan activists do not enter into an agreement to end the occupation of Independence Square in Kyiv, martial law will be declared and they will be killed. "I think our Foreign Ministry does not understand that there is a war, and the war has its own laws," Ivashov explained. The new war has an "anti-Russian orientation," but this is not fully understood by the Russian Foreign Ministry. If it was, Russia would present the facts "as they are" and the real agenda of the United States and the European Union would be exposed. putin russia russian ukraine kiev "winter olympics" world humanity west east u.s. Troops deployments began over the weekend. It also confirmed that a large landing ship, the Nikolay Filchenkov, from the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, sent Marines based in Temryuk, Russia. The Filchenkov also delivered ten BTR-80 armored personnel carriers, according to the naval website. The weekend airlifts using four Ilyushin Il-76 strategic aircraft out an airbase in near Moscow delivered personnel from the 45th Airborne Special Forces to Anapa on the Black Sea, according to the report. Six Soviet-designed medium twin-turbine MI-8 transport helicopters were also sent. The Black Sea Fleet stationed at Sevastopol includes various infantry, assault, artillery, reconnaissance and air defense battalions. On February 20, an unidentified Russian government official told the Financial Times Russia is willing to go to war over Crimea. "If Ukraine breaks apart, it will trigger a war," the official said. "They will lose Crimea first [because] we will go in and protect [it], just as we did in Georgia."- published: 25 Feb 2014

Sunflowers in Fukushima
"Sunflowers in Fukushima" was just published with Blurb.com. The book is a record of my trip to Japan 3 months after the 9.0 magnitude Tohuku earthquake. The tsunami that followed the earthquake and the Fukushima nuclear crisis that came as a result of those natural disasters make it the toughest and the most difficult crisis for Japan since WWII.
The title of the book comes from a photograph I took in the village of Kitakami, in the city of Natori. It shows a woman planting sunflower seeds in a desert-like landscape of the post tsunami area near Sendai Airport. Later on I learned that a Japanese enterpreneur bought a wholesale amount of sunflower seeds and is sending it to various volunteer groups and individuals asking them to plant the seeds near Fukushima. Apparently the lack of a proper response to the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear crises by the government led to this unusual effort to stop the radiation using forces of nature. Sunflowers planted outside the Chernobyl power plant have reduced the soil contamination by 85% after the 1986 nuclear disaster in the Ukraine.
In the course of my travel across Tohuku region I met two young photographers who lost their studios to the 3/11 tsunami. In my short encounter with them I managed to photograph a moment of their present life. For Reiko Shiba, of Kitakama, near Natori, a fine art photographer, it was recovering and cleaning her neighbors' photos that put her back on track. Kenichi Kikuchi of Kamaishi had a portrait studio in downtown. Right now he photographs his hometown as it rebuilds from the devastating wave that surmounted the world's biggest breakwater and heavily damaged the city.
In Kamaishi I was also able to join a group of volunteers from Caritas Japan in their efforts to clean up the photos recovered from the tsunami. This so-called reversed photographic process gave me access to the private lives of those affected by the disaster.
Finally, there is a record of my 24 hour stop in the city of Fukushima, where, straight from the bullet train station, I walked into an anti-nuclear demonstration organized by the National Railway Workers Union of Chiba.

Let’s go way back to the roaring 20′s. My grandfather, Walter David Perry III, was orphaned by Russian immigrants until he was adopted by my great-grandparents. I’m Walt’s namesake and he gave me a lot to live up to. Things are coming full circle now that we are adopting a child from Ukraine. It feels right.
As a filmmaker doing humanitarian work, I also became immersed in the international orphan crisis and adoption world. I love helping others and have travelled to Africa and Mexico to do documentary films on orphans. I have produced films about international adoption that have been presented at the United Nations in NYC for several years as well as assisting other non profit organizations around the world. I’ve discovered and experienced firsthand the joy that comes from serving. Our young family also travelled to Guatemala together and we look forward to our adventures in Ukraine!
Danielle
I’m thankful for the preparations I’ve been given that led me to adopt. It started with a Social Work practicum in a Siberian orphanage in Russia several years ago. As a young woman, it opened my eyes to the children’s lives and their unmet needs. Adoption continued to touch my life as a social worker in various capacities (e.g. Child Protection, family counselor in an office that did adoptions, etc.). I also received my Masters Degree in Social Work with an emphasis in International Community Organization. I dreamed of making a difference overseas.
From time to time after marrying David I would ponder and pray deeply about adopting, but it was never the right time. Earlier this year, I suddenly felt the time was NOW and we took a leap of faith and started taking the steps towards adoption. I should add that I was thrilled when David started doing international films about orphans; he was living my dream! Ha! It has transpired into making my dream come true, too, by adopting a girl internationally. BTW – I’m international. Yes, being Canadian counts.
David + Danielle
We are united in our decision to adopt. We very much want to parent a daughter and look forward to giving her a family. The decision to adopt a child with HIV was not on our minds and hearts at first. Once we were introduced to it though, we were powerfully effected by the experiences of many other families who had made this choice. It has been a growing experience for us; this journey has become less about us and more about a child that could easily be overlooked for adoption by her status. That being said, HIV adoption is a lot easier than it may appear; we are happy to share on our site what we have learned along the way. :)
Our Family
We have 2 boys, Drew + Hudson, and we love them with all of our hearts! We know how to hike mountains, boogie, make cool family videos, chug green smoothies…and eat way too much popcorn and and ice cream! We are also known to pray and pray and pray for a little girl in Ukraine. Adoption is not for the faint of heart, so we hear. We can’t entirely predict how this change will effect our family. However, our motto is “We’ll Handle It!” and we will. Thank you for supporting us along the way; you’re awesome!
Special thanks to Chris McClain and Travis Richins for their help with the video!

INTESA SANPAOLO - PRAVEX BANK
intesa sanpaolo - pravex bank
in the uncertain times of the world financial crisis, the banks are trying to win back the confidence of their clients. relying on their strong fundament, the italian intesa bank engaged the fredfilms production and the director matthias zentner to show how even fragile things can sustain in a bad weather.
zentner symbolized this trough all stages of a lifetime of a flower; the stand-alone on an empty field, daring the forces of nature without relenting.
the gentle peonia had the honor of the leading role in this drama, expressing the orange color of the banks logo. the thunder storm, rain and snow; all kinds of weather try to break our fragile plant. the fact that the flower endures all elements, confirms its strength and confidence. the good metaphorical addition is achieved at the end of a commercial where a gentle, but credibly powerful woman, symbolizes the banks strength. the release of the bird held in her hands stands for the clients freedom to move.
the commercial is running in egypt, russia and the whole bunch of east european countries: albania, bosnia & herzegovina, croatia, bulgaria, romania, serbia, slovakia, slovenia and ukraine. the commercial was done in one long day shooting, including the night .
